@ Park Hyatt Union - 12/13/14
Brought to you by the Bride and Groom.
This was a small, intimate, destination wedding that took place on the total opposite end of the earth for us Californians... When our sun rises, their sun sets. It was definitely a trek to get out there, but after the 2 days of travel, you reach breathtaking Paradise that makes it all worth it. With a handful of close friends and family present to witness the union, it was undoubtedly an extremely intimate and unforgettable ceremony in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Many Miracles happened this day. We would like to share some of them with you.
The entire 4 days there, it was torrential downpour and howling winds. So what did we do? We created a Sun Dance. Cheryl had all the friends do it with her. Everyday. Calling out to the weather Gods and requesting sunshine for that day.
The forecast on the day of our wedding was heavy rain from 12pm on till the next day. 5pm being the heaviest of the rain. Because of the forecast, we moved up the ceremony from 5pm to 3pm. (Just in case it did rain...we would have some leeway to move the ceremony down). 12PM: the sun was out, and shining...1PM: no rain yet! 2PM: no rain yet. The rain clouds were looming, but the sun remained strong...the Sun Dance worked!! 3PM: we began! We did the entire 30 minute ceremony in the sun. One obvious Miracle was that it didn't rain at all the entire day! Except for 5 mins around 5pm...allowing a beautiful rainbow to appear and bless our wedding day.
Another Miracle that was only seen in retrospect was that, since we moved our ceremony up, we were in the middle of the ceremony during the rarest consecutive time sequence. On December 13, 2014 at 3:16 and 17 seconds PM, we were exchanging our rings and vows. This sequence will not be happening again in our lifetime.

We could not have asked for a more perfect, and beautiful wedding day.
We will be playing our Maldives wedding video at the Chark 3.0 Wedding Reception/Party. Meanwhile, here are some photos capturing the epic day.
